RECOGNITION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
That this House applauds the action of the US Congress Foreign Affairs Committee in passing House Resolution 106 on 10th October 2007 in respect of recognition of the genocide of Armenians and Assyrians in 1915; and calls on the government of Turkey to acknowledge that the tide of world opinion is flowing in the direction of recognition of the 1915 genocide by the government of the former Ottoman Empire.
