TRUSSELL TRUST FOOD BANKS

That this House notes the work of the Trussell Trust, which aims to reduce poverty, deprivation and despair at the point of need; applauds its establishment of local food banks which collect and distribute basic food and vouchers to many thousands of people in crisis situations; welcomes the Trust's decision to open franchised food bank networks in over 20 towns and cities from Cornwall to Inverness; and encourages the Trussell Trust to spread its network further.
