Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Roger Berry (Labour), on Wednesday, 4 June 2008, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 53 members in total.
CHARGES FOR CARE SERVICES
That this House notes the Charging into Poverty report published by the Coalition on Charging; is concerned that charges for using care services can deny people access to essential support to remain independent; believes that disability-related expenditure must be assessed fully before charges are imposed on disabled and older people; and urges further research into the impact of charges to be undertaken as part of broader care reform plans in England.
