NATIONAL PERSONAL SAFETY DAY

That this House notes that National Personal Safety Day takes place on 13th October 2008; recognises that this important day was launched in 1998 by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust; believes that greater awareness of personal safety is vital whether in the workplace, school, high street or home; endorses the Safe and Sound theme of this year's campaign to highlight personal safety issues around the use of mobile telephones and MP3 players; and acknowledges the work of the Trust in helping people to lead safer, more confident lives.
