52nd LONDON FILM FESTIVAL
That this House congratulates the British Film Institute (BFI) on the success of its 52nd London Film Festival, which attracted over 123,000 admissions and screened 300 films from 43 countries, including 15 world premieres and an unprecedented number of new British films; notes that the Times BFI London Film Festival continues to grow in its stature throughout the world; and also notes the BFI's plans for a new national film centre on the South Bank in London that will ensure the full diversity of film culture in Britain is safeguarded and can be enjoyed by everyone across the United Kingdom for many years to come.
