Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Fraser Kemp (Labour), on Tuesday, 9 December 2008, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 45 members in total.
NHS CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING PROGRAMME
That this House believes that the NHS Cervical Cancer Screening Programme, which aims to reduce the number of women who develop invasive cervical cancer and the number of women who die from it, should review its current policy of only screening women over the age of 25 years old; and considers that the programme should examine the figures for cervical cancer incidences in women under 25 years old and offer routine cervical screening to women under 25 years old if such figures could be reduced by routine screening.
