DEAN FOREST RAILWAY

That this House congratulates members of the Dean Forest Railway who through their efforts and enthusiasm have preserved and now operate the railway between Lydney and Parkend in Gloucestershire; notes that in so doing they have ensured that the last remaining section of the railway in the Royal Forest of Dean survives to celebrate in 2009 the 200th anniversary of its formation; and acknowledges the work of the nineteenth century pioneers who built the line between the rivers Severn and Wye, and the contribution Mr G. B. Keeling and his son Mr G. W. Keeling made to the development of the railway.
