Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Corbett of Castle Vale, on Thursday, 5 March 1992, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 18 members in total.
BIRMINGHAM'S ANTI-POVERTY CAMPAIGN IN SCHOOLS
That this House congratulates Birmingham City Council on its anti-poverty project work in selected schools to help teenagers from all social backgrounds to make informed decisions; notes that it is exactly in line with the national curriculum and cross-curriculum guidelines NCC 4 to 8; and further notes the relevance of such a project at a time of record and rising unemployment, record house repossessions, mounting debt and with half of Birmingham's population living in, or on the margins of, poverty.
