TELEVISED ENGLAND V AUSTRALIA RUGBY LEAGUE MATCH

That this House praises the decision to televise the Rugby League Four Nations match between England and Australia; welcomes the game being shown on terrestrial television where it is available to everyone without a subscription; appreciates high quality Rugby League being made available to fans and potential fans of all ages; commends the BBC for giving space in the schedule to show Rugby League games in full and without interruption; hopes to see an increase in the scheduled time given by the BBC and other broadcasters to Rugby League games; pays tribute to the work done by the Rugby Football League to organise the tournament; and welcomes the contribution made by the Four Nations contest to invigorate international Rugby League in the UK.
