SUTTON CARERS CENTRE

That this House recognises the important work Sutton Carers Centre does in supporting local carers and their families; commends the work it is doing for Carers Rights Day on 4 December 2009 to help educate local carers on their pension entitlements and benefit entitlements; and notes that Carers Rights Day is run by Carers UK and is a national campaign, now in its tenth year, that seeks to increase the take-up of benefits and raise awareness of carers' rights and this year is highlighting the support that carers may be able to get in order to protect their pensions.
