Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ken Purchase (Labour), on Monday, 14 December 2009, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 14 members in total.
CANCELLATION COSTS OF WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL'S CONTRACT WITH AXON LTD
That this House calls on the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to investigate the circumstances of Wolverhampton City Council proposing, without precedent in living memory, to hold part of its full council meeting in secret in order to keep from council taxpayers the cancellation costs of 7 million resulting from an aborted contract with Axon Ltd who have reportedly made threats to sue any councillor who votes for this matter to be heard in open debate.
