Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Andrew Pelling (Independent (affiliation)), on Tuesday, 23 February 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 8 members in total.
COMMERCIAL BANKS AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR TAX DEDUCTION
That this House believes that passing formal responsibility for tax deductions to commercial banks could lead to increased errors in tax deductions and could leave too much power with a part of the financial sector which has more challenging concerns than taking on the role of tax collector.
