Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Dodds of Duncairn (Democratic Unionist Party), on Friday, 26 February 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 34 members in total.
WAR PENSIONS AND INCOME-RELATED BENEFITS
That this House calls on the Government to change the rules for income-related benefits, including income support, income-based jobseeker's allowance, housing benefit and council tax benefit to ensure that the total amount of income from war disablement pensions, war widows' pensions and the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme are disregarded, thereby ensuring that the beneficiaries of these pensions receive the full benefit from them in future.
