Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Roger Williams (Liberal Democrat), on Monday, 1 March 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 33 members in total.
4x4 VEHICLES ON RIGHTS OF WAY
That this House notes that damage is being done to rights of way by their illegal use by drivers of 4x4s and other mechanically-driven vehicles; further notes the difficulty in bringing prosecutions and the unwillingness of the Crown Prosecution Service to bring charges to court; and therefore urges the Government to implement fixed penalty notices for these offences to discourage these damaging activities.
