Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Martin Caton (Labour), on Tuesday, 2 March 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 13 members in total.

GORSEINON COLLEGE, SWANSEA

That this House congratulates Gorseinon College on winning the 2009-10 Association of Colleges Beacon Award for college engagement with employers; acknowledges that this achievement by the Innovation Team at Gorseinon recognises the quality of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme run by the college, working with businesses throughout South Wales; notes that these KTP projects benefit companies through increased profits and the individual associates through extensive personal development; further notes that Gorseinon College has been the largest further education provider of knowledge transfer partnerships in the UK for many years; and believes that this sort of close co-operation between education providers and business makes good economic sense.
