Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Greg Mulholland (Liberal Democrat), on Thursday, 11 March 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 92 members in total.
PLANNING AUTHORITIES (PROTECTION OF LOCAL SERVICES) BILL
That this House welcomes the Local Planning Authorities (Protection of Local Services) Bill introduced by a cross-party group of hon. Members in the last session; notes that the Bill made provision for local planning authorities to require planning permission prior to the demolition or change of use of any or all premises or land used or most recently used as a local service; further notes that this would help protect community amenities such as pubs and post offices; and therefore supports the provisions proposed in that Bill.
