ALBERT GUBAY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

That this House commends Albert Gubay, entrepreneur and former owner of Kwik Save and Total Fitness, for his pledge to raise ??1 billion for charity through the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation; notes Mr Gubay's donation of ??480 million to the trust and commitment to grow the asset base of the charity further to a total of ??1 billion; and calls on the Government to encourage similar philanthropic behaviour and provide support and guidance for people wishing to follow Mr Gubay's example.
