JARVIS
That this House is concerned at the news that Jarvis has gone into administration; calls on Network Rail to continue to deliver the current volume of renewals it has contracted with Jarvis to the current timetable, either by Jarvis whilst in administration, or by another contractor; recognises the importance during the current economic conditions to retain industrial jobs; and calls on the Government to ensure that the existing Jarvis staff will continue to be employed, either by Jarvis or by a new contractor, to enable Network Rail to undertake the work it has already contracted and is planning in the future.
