MEMBERS' PRIVATE OFFICES AND THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICES
That this House calls upon the Prime Minister to disclose whether any member of the Intelligence Service has been authorised to gain access to Labour Members' private offices and to data bases and files on their computers.

- leave out from 'house' to end and add 'deplores criminal activity of all kinds; calls upon those Labour Members who have complained about alleged break-ins to their offices to follow the proper procedures by reporting them in the first instance to the Sergeant at Arms rather than involve any other agency; and further deplores the fact that only one out of six alleged cases has been so reported.'.

- at end add 'and notes the policy of the Labour Party for the proper Parliamentary scrutiny and accountability of all the security services by relevant departmental select committees of the House; and requests a full enquiry into allegations that the security service 'bugged and burgled' its way around London under the last Labour Government and to make recommendations to ensure that this does not recur under the next Labour Government.'.
