Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Glenda Jackson (Labour), on Thursday, 8 July 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 5 members in total.
BUILDING SCHOOLS FOR THE FUTURE IN HAMPSTEAD AND KILBURN
That this House condemns the Conservative-Liberal Democrat Government's decision to cancel the Building Schools for the Future programme for Hampstead, Jack Taylor's, Royal Free Children's and Queen's Park Community schools in Hampstead and Kilburn and threaten UCL Academy in Swiss Cottage with a similar fate; is appalled by such a lack of concern and commitment to provide students and their dedicated teachers with an environment in which their skills and talents may flourish; and further regrets the economic short-termism which undermines future growth by failing to invest now.
