FUTURE OF SIANEL PEDWAR CYMRU (S4C)
That this House recognises the vital role Sianel Pedwar Cymru (S4C) has played in promoting and strengthening the Welsh language; acknowledges that the Welsh language is a vital part of Welsh identity and culture; welcomes the recent growth in creative media industries in Wales; expresses concern that if there were a significant reduction to the budget of S4C there would be irreparable harm caused to S4C and the Welsh language; and urges the Government to recognise the value of S4C and to ensure that adequate levels of funding are maintained.
