Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Alun Michael (Labour and Co-operative Party), on Wednesday, 15 December 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 16 members in total.
RENEWED COMPACT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT AND THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR
That this House welcomes the publication of the renewed Compact, between the Government and the voluntary sector; notes that it outlines the principles of good partnership working between government and civil society organisations; further notes that the accompanying accountability mechanisms will strengthen the effectiveness of both the Compact and partnership working at national and local level; and welcomes the principles it contains as organisations in every part of the country seek to minimise the impact of decisions made under present financial pressures.
