Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gerrard Neale (Conservative), on Thursday, 13 February 1992, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 16 members in total.
CONDUCT OF THE HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR LIVINGSTON
That this House deplores the actions of the honourable Member for Livingston in the way he set out to conduct discussion of National Health Service affairs through 'a leak a week'; is alarmed that the source of these leaks has now been discovered to have been appointed on the basis of references from an adviser to the honourable Member for Livingston; is dismayed that the premature end of a young man's career in health service administration has thus been brought about; and calls on the honourable Member for Livingston to resign his shadow cabinet post and the Labour Party to recognise the improvements resulting from health service reforms rather than relying on a campaign of smear, leak and innuendo.
