SECRETARY-GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS

That this House expresses its sincere appreciation of the dedicated service to the cause of international peace and understanding given both as a United Nations official and then as Secretary-General of the United Nations, for the past 10 years by Senor Perez de Cuellar; notes the remarkable resurgence of the influence and role of the United Nations under his leadership; and wishes him and his wife and family well in his retirement.
