Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor David Shaw (Conservative), on Tuesday, 17 December 1991, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 18 members in total.
CONDUCT OF THE LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION
That this House notes that the Leader of the Opposition's office quoted in The Independent on 7th December, which said that 'Neil Kinnock's office yesterday said that Maxwell's only cash contribution to labour funds was ??43,000 in 1984', further notes that this statement leaves out a ??38,000 donation to the Labour Party's Boundary Commission Fighting Fund which was disclosed in court by Mr Maxwell's lawyers in 1986; and wonders what further payments or contributions from the late Robert Maxwell require to be disclosed in the public interest by the Labour Party and the Leader of the Opposition.
