BRITISH BIOLOGY OLYMPIAD WINNERS

That this House congratulates Katherine Lister (Greenhead College), Scarlett Harris (Godalming Sixth Form College), Matthew Johnston (The Judd School) and Anna Sozanska (St Leonards-Mayfield School) on their recent achievement in having been elected to represent the UK at the International Biology Olympiad in July which is being held in Switzerland; notes that over 4,200 students took part in the first round of this competition and that 155 students with the highest scores took part in the more demanding second round and that the four winning students were chosen from the top 16 students, who competed at the British Biology Olympiad final held at the University of Reading last week; wishes the UK team all the very best; and congratulates the Society of Biology and the UK Biology Competitions Special Interest Group for its key role in organising this competition.
