Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Harry Cohen (Labour), on Tuesday, 21 January 1992, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 32 members in total.

SUNDAY TRADING (No 5)

That this House notes that the Chairman of Argyll plc has, through Safeway plc, been deeply involved in flagrant breaches of the law on Sunday trading; notes that Argyll plc are members and funders of the Shopping Hours Reform Council and major donors to Conservative Party funds; and considers that this vested interest stops the Conservatives upholding the rule of law against big business law-breakers.
