Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jim Shannon (Democratic Unionist Party), on Wednesday, 27 May 2015, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 46 members in total.
CHRISTIANS IN IRAQ
That this House is concerned by the displacement of 1 million Iraqi Christians by an increase in terrorism that has destabilised the country and forced them to pay protection money, convert to Islam or face death; and calls on the Government to take steps to ensure that Christians are protected and not subjected to any further intimidation by Islamic State.
