BAN ON THE WILD CAUGHT BIRD TRADE

That this House takes note of the serious conservation and welfare problems arising from the wild-caught bird trade; notes the recent report and recommendations of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee; and calls for a ban ,except under exceptional circumstances, on the importation to the European Community of wild-caught birds.
