ROYAL COLLEGE OF NURSING
That this House congratulates the Royal College of Nursing, which supports more than 430,000 registered nurses, midwives, health visitors, nursing students, healthcare assistants and nurse cadets across the UK, in its centenary year; recognises the important contribution the College has made to promoting nursing and to driving excellence and innovation in nursing practice and patients care over the last 100 years; calls on the House to celebrate the dedication of nursing staff across the UK, who often care for the most vulnerable in our society; and notes that the College continues to work closely with parliaments in the UK and other national and European political institutions, trade unions, professional bodies and voluntary organisations to achieve exceptional care for patients.
