Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jess Phillips (Labour), on Wednesday, 23 March 2016, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 32 members in total.
NATIONAL EXPRESS LIVING WAGE EMPLOYER
That this House welcomes the news that National Express, one of the UK's largest transport providers, has become a living wage employer; notes that the operator's decision to pay the living wage will benefit thousands of its staff across the country, making them the West Midlands' largest living wage employer; further notes that this shows the way forward for other transport operators; and calls on other transport operators and businesses to follow National Express' example and pay the living wage.
