DIABETES WEEK 2016
That this House congratulates Diabetes UK for organising Diabetes Week 2016; acknowledges hon. Members of this House, the hon. Member for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, the hon. Member for East Renfrewshire, the hon. Member for Portsmouth South, the hon. Member for Eddisbury, the hon. Member for Hazel Grove and the hon. Member for Kensington in joining with the All Party Parliamentary Group for Diabetes in its diabetes testing in pharmacies campaign; notes that 12 per cent of adults with diabetes in the UK are undiagnosed; further acknowledges the importance of easily accessible and early testing for the prevention of type 2 diabetes; and urges all hon. Members to promote diabetes awareness and encourage testing in their constituency during Diabetes Week 2016 and to take the test themselves.
