CARERS WEEK IN CEREDIGION
That this House congratulates Ceredigion County Council's carers unit for its work during this year's Carers Week that ran from 3 June to 11 June 2016; commends its partnership with the British Red Cross' carers service, Crossroads Mid & West Wales and Hafal, which organised four free events for carers in Ceredigion with the support of Marie Curie; notes that only a small number of the 8,063 carers in Ceredigion come forward to ask for help and support despite relationship, financial, health and other difficulties many face as a result of their work; welcomes the information and advice, as well as variety of activities, including holistic therapies, a theatre performance and more, provided to carers at these events; and further welcomes the positive feedback received from many of Ceredigion's carers who attended.
