WOMEN'S AID SOUTH LANARKSHIRE AND EAST RENFREWSHIRE

That this House congratulates Women's Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire on securing £410,699 of funding through Big Lottery Fund's Investing In Communities grant; recognises that the Investing In Communities programme focuses on tackling disadvantage and addressing inequalities for people, families and communities in greatest need; commends Women's Aid for the work it does to support women, children and young people across Scotland who have experienced domestic abuse, as well as campaigning to end violence against women; and understands Women's Aid will use the grant to continue and extend the Cedar project, a therapeutic 12-week group programme for children and young people in recovery from domestic abuse, alongside a concurrent group work programme for their mothers.
