50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ABERFAN DISASTER
That this House sends a message of wholehearted support to the people of Aberfan, Merthyr Vale and surrounding communities in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Aberfan Disaster on 21 October 1966 that resulted in the loss of 116 children and 28 adults, an event of such unimaginable and devastating loss that touched the world and robbed a community of a generation.
