COTTAGE FAMILY CENTRE CHRISTMAS APPEAL

That this House commends the Cottage Family Centre, based in Templehall, Kirkcaldy, on its 2016 Christmas appeal; understands that this appeal was aimed at ensuring that families in the local area did not have to go without presents at Christmas; notes that the Centre appealed for donations of toys and gifts for children aged up to 16 years, as well as food, toiletries and cash; further commends the ongoing dedication of staff and volunteers and the generosity of individuals and businesses who have donated to the Centre since its establishment in 1987; understands that the Centre was originally founded by a group of local parents to provide a family centre that would cater for the needs of families with pre-school children; and wishes the Cottage Family Centre and its clients the very best for the future.
