Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jim Shannon (Democratic Unionist Party), on Tuesday, 28 March 2017, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 9 members in total.
GENDER SELECTION TERMINATION
That this House expresses deep concern about the call for gender selection termination as raised by a member of the British Medical Association Medical Ethics Committee; reiterates that gender selection termination is entirely unacceptable within the UK and further underlines the inherent belief in the UK of the sanctity of life and the right to life and the fact that any attempt to introduce a further relaxation of abortion laws in the UK will be met with robust opposition in the House.
