LINKS MARKET KIRKCALDY
That this House recognises that the Links Market in Kirkcaldy is the longest street fair in Europe; welcomes the start of the six-day carnival; acknowledges that the market continues to play a significant part in the community and has done every year since its beginning 700 years ago; highlights the great contribution the fair brings to the local economy; thanks the showmen involved for providing a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for all; and commends the steps taken by organisers, local services and police to ensure the safety and security of all those involved.
