Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Martin Redmond (Labour), on Monday, 1 November 1993, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 51 members in total.
PROSECUTION POLICY
That this House condemns the Government whose legislation imprisons in Lincoln Jail a pensioner of 79 years of age over a small debt of poll tax, whilst at the same time the Serious Fraud Office can offer no evidence against the former Chief Accountant of Polly Peck on the grounds that it would be unjust to proceed against him in the absence of his former boss Asil Nadir.
