Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Christine Jardine (Liberal Democrat), on Monday, 6 November 2017, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 9 members in total.
CRISIS GRANTS IN SCOTLAND
That this House notes with regret that the number of crisis grants applied for in Scotland has increased by 11 per cent and that 14 per cent of applications were made due to delays in benefit payment; further notes that most applications were made to purchase food or pay for heating; condemns systemic failures that have pushed families into crisis and children into poverty; and urges action to build a country for everyone.
