Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Marcus Fox (Conservative), on Thursday, 31 October 1991, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 48 members in total.

OPPOSITION ATTITUDE TO EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

That this House notes with amazement the cynicism of Her Majesty's Opposition in being all things to all men on Europe; records with astonishment the inconsistencies of the Leader of the Opposition, who in 1983 `wanted out of the Common Market', by 1988 saw `nil prospects for withdrawal', and in 1991 has responded variously to proposals for economic and monetary union - in June with an undertaking not to sign up, but by 30th October with an apparent conversion to unqualified support; and calls on Her Majesty's Opposition to clarify its position.
