UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH WIN ON UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE

That this house congratulates the University of Edinburgh on its victory in this year's University Challenge; notes that this is a historic victory as it is the first time that the University of Edinburgh has won the show; recognises that the University of Edinburgh’s victory also marks the first time in six years that a non-Oxbridge team has won and the first victory in 36 years for a Scottish team; highlights that this victory further proves that Edinburgh and Scotland are home to some of the sharpest young minds; and recognises the extraordinary achievement of every individual involved in University Challenge and wishes all the students the best for their futures.
