FREE TELEVISION LICENCES FOR PENSIONERS
That this House recognises that there are two million pensioners living in poverty; further recognises that the level of pensioner poverty is rising; notes that free television licences for pensioners can help to combat loneliness and provide a window to the world; acknowledges the need to support some of the most vulnerable people in society; regrets the calls to abolish free television licences for the over-75s; and calls on the Government to provide all pensioners with free television licences.
