WOMEN'S CENTRES
That this House recognises the importance of specialist women's centres which provide holistic support to women affected by the criminal justice system; highlights the importance of adequately funding the network of women's centres in order to achieve the aims of the Female Offender Strategy; notes that HM Treasury received £80 million from the sale of HMP Holloway; and urges the Government to commit further investment in the growth of the network of specialist women's centres in order to reduce the women's prison population and secure the UK's position as a global leader in reducing the human and financial cost of imprisonment.
