Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Hugh Gaffney (Labour), on Wednesday, 4 September 2019, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 4 members in total.
NUMBER 2 BUS SERVICE BETWEEN BAILLIESTON AND AIRDRIE
That this House expresses concern at First Bus’s decision to remove the Number 2 service from Baillieston and Airdrie; recognises that the decision will have a detrimental impact on Coatbridge, leaving the area with no direct bus link to both Airdrie and Glasgow; notes that the Number 2 is a vital service for workers commuting from Coatbridge to Glasgow; and urges SPT, First Bus and the Scottish Government to work together to restore that service.
