60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE AUCHENGEICH COLLIERY DISASTER
That this House acknowledges that 18 September 2019 marked the 60th Anniversary of the Auchengeich Colliery disaster; recognises that forty-seven men lost their lives in the disaster; notes the impact that it had on the local community, particularly on the families of the men who lost their lives; commends the work of the Auchengeich Memorial Committee in organising this year's commemoration events which took place on 15 September 2019; and thanks the local community for their continued support of the friends and families of those who lost their lives.
