Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Glenda Jackson (Labour), on Friday, 23 July 1993, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 54 members in total.
ROYAL FREE HOSPITAL HAMPSTEAD
That this House, aware of the historic contribution made by the Royal Free Hospital to the health and well-being of London, its continuing pursuit of excellence producing the first successful kidney transplant in the world outside the United States of America, its innovative approach to childcare in creating its unique Walk-In Clinic available to children, its cancer and cardiac treatment centre second to none, and its proximity to the M1 which makes it the obvious site for the neurosurgical treatment of road accident victims with head injuries urges therefore the discounting of the swingeing proposals made by the London Implementation Group speciality review boards in regard to the future of the Royal Free Hospital.
