Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Bob Cryer (Labour), on Monday, 21 June 1993, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 66 members in total.

SELECT COMMITTEE ON MEMBERS' INTERESTS: 3RD REPORT OF SESSION 1990/91

That this House records with great concern that it is almost two years since the Select Committee on Members' Interests with a Conservative majority produced a report on parliamentary lobbying which recommended a register of commercial lobbyists and a code of practice; notes that this report has never been given time by the Government business managers for debate and that successive Leaders of the House have refused repeated requests for debates; believes that if the report had been implemented the sleazy measures of commercial lobbyists working at the centre of Government to protect the interests of Mr Asil Nadir would have been prevented; and condemns the Government for resisting calls for a debate and implementation in order to protect Tory honourable Members and the sleazy interests of commercial lobbyists.
