That this House notes that ex-councillor Irene Hamilton has resigned her membership of the Scottish National Party and joined the Labour Party; recalls her distinguished public service on Cumbernauld and Kilsyth District Council and her continuing work for the elderly in the community; and looks forward to her active participation in Scottish political life under the Labour banner along with the many former SNP activists now joining the Labour Party.
