Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Michael Latham (Conservative), on Wednesday, 31 October 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 1 members in total.
United Nations Double Standards
That this House awaits with interest the immediate summoning of the United Nations Security Council for the purpose of condemning the the Government of India for the violence and killings at Ayodhya during religious clashes between Hindus wishing to storm a Muslim mosque and police, who tried to prevent them with guns; and notes the total lack of interest displayed by the United Nations over the appalling deaths of large numbers of people recently arising out of the Indian Government's attempts to improve employment prospects for those of the lowest caste.
